2000 year old D20! That's how the Ancient Egyptians rolled!

Housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art is a D20 that dates back to the Ptolemaic Period. That's around 304 to 30 B.C, for the likes of you and me.

It's made out of serpentine, which isn't quite as cool as it sounds. It's just a fancy name for a type of rock and not, unfortunately, the skin of a mythical serpent that also loves DnD. It still looks quite nice though to be fair.

The ancient die has symbols of Greek origin with eta, theta, and epsilon most clearly seen. 


I wonder what badass GM had this die in their collection....
