Just a quicky this one, so you can read this recap in no time and get back to whatever weird thing you were doing, before it dries out/gets soggy/changes it's mind.
Other obligations meant I had to arrive late and leave early sadly to this week's Fanagram Cardiff Board Game Group, but I had enough time to get a game of Junk Art in - check out a previous recap fort a recap of this game. But to briefly recap this recap: it's a dexterity block building game (particularly if you can get your hands on the illustrious first edition wooden pieces version).

Most annoyingly - I missed out on Tales of the Arabian Nights which I've been wanting to play since erm... FOREVER! It's an absolutely beauty of a game, has a nice big board and involves a shared story experience. Phwoar! Characters travel around the map getting into all kinds of scrapes, shenanigans and chicanery earning delicious delicious points! And we all know what points mean!

Captain Sonar also got some game time - and was told that it was wild fun, echoing other opinions I've heard about this. Essentially you break into two teams on opposing submarines with different players in charge of different roles. It's played out in real time (no patiently waiting for your turn) so expect fast fun and tense action from the start. This game certainly has a lot of depth.
That's as much as I know about this week's game session from Fanagram Cardiff Boardgaming Group.
Join us each and every Thursday at Firestorm Games Cardiff from 7pm.
