This week we returned to where it all began to say goodbye to one of our long time members who is selfishly moving to Oxford. Goodbye Brian, we'll never forget you. Or was it Dave? Whoever you are, from the bottom of our hearts we will miss you, for a bit, probably...

The Fanagram Cardiff Board Game Group met at Tiny Rebel to play some board games and for general merrymaking and laughs. Safe to say, we weren't disappointed.

We kicked off with some Resistance - playing with an expansion that added Chiefs and Hunters. I was a spy chief, our team successfully sabotaged three of the five missions but failed to discover the enemy Chief but I got hunted which caused the last mission to be flipped in favour of the Resistance team and winning them the game.

We followed this with really nice game of Blood Bound. Another hidden identity that Dan knows far too well for his own good. Players start the game by revealing what team they have randomly been assigned to (Red or Blue) to the player to their left. The challenge is playing as a team when you don't know for certain who your team members are. Special abilities and interesting choices make this fairly simple game quite encapsulating.

The final game we played was Dead Last - oh how we love Dead Last. Essentially its a popularity contest filled with backstabbing, lies and revenge. Oh and gold bars, don't forget that gold yo!

We also have another little puzzle for you - can you find my favourite quote from the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1. I bet you can't get it! Comment below if you found it (without giving it away please).

From all at Fanagram and the Cardiff Board Gaming Group we will miss you Nelson and already look froward to you returning for some cardboard based shenanigans! Good luck with the move and your new job... an origins story in the making?..
