Castlevania Cartoon - One hell of a series!

So I'm a little bit late to the party here, I know. Recently finished watching the Castlevania cartoon series. It is fantastic.

When the only complaint you have about a show is that it is too short, you know you're onto a winner. At only 4 episodes long this mini-series still manages to pack a punch.

Hell hath no fury like a raging vampire - particularly one that literally calls up the armies of hell to avenge his beloved's burning at the stake as a witch.

There is wonderful action, the sound is great and the protagonist is a likeable anti-hero with a fondness for the booze.

A central theme of the show deals with the large, organised religious establishments - in this case Christianity - and how individuals within wield the 'word of God' for their own power and glory, often at the downfall of the innocent, whom they have sworn to serve.
