So last week I teased a bit on my next break it down, hopefully some of you got who I was creating. Because of the Infinity War movie coming out very soon I wanted to do The Infinity Gauntlet.

My original ideal was to just ink and Photoshop the Infinity Gauntlet by itself, but was unable to find a pencil drawing (as I wanted to Ink just like my Venom image) so I came across this amazing Thanos image with a strong center of focus on the Gauntlet itself.

I think this image is pretty amazing and found it on google, here is a link where you can buy this image.

Next step was to ink the pencil, I didn't want to do the background so just focused on Thanos and the Gauntlet.

I had to clean up the image a lot due to the massive about of pencil background, and this needed to be all clean for the next process.

I always love how the ink lines get converted and put into their own style when I do this process. In comics and and pieces of art the Pencil artist always gives his or her style to the drawing, then the Inkier comes along (if they are different) and again gives their style and I feel like this extra step allows the inner computer (Johnny 5) to give his little style to these pieces of art :)

Here I wanted to start to frame the image, I know I want the main focus to be on The Infinity Gauntlet and have Thanos purple, but don't really want that much detail on Thanos.

Because I been reading a bit on The Infinity Gauntlet I came across a comic where Thanos is madly in love with Lady Death, and in an attempt to impress her wipes out half the universe with a snap of his fingers. Really loved the power of The Infinity Gauntlet so wanted to have a background space theme.

Here I added a bit of texture to the black border and added a small strip around to focus on the inside.

So this was my final blocking out before I started doing more detailed work, I really wanted The Infinity Gauntlet to give the impressed its the most powerful thing you can have once all 6 stones are inserted.

Didn't really think the purple worked on Thanos so I turned down the brightness on the grey lines and lightened the background a bit.

I then added some really evil glowing eyes (you always have to give the bad guy glowing eyes) and added the purple back in but only on his face and hand, there's also a tiny bit of shadow around to give it more depth.

Now to start on The Infinity Gauntlet which is what you all came here for right? Added a dark gold/yellow colour with a bit of a dark fade on the edges.

The original drawing has so much detail on The Infinity Gauntlet so wanted to give it more depth (without going crazy) so just added a second layer of colour to give the impression there are bits that are just under the main gold gauntlet.

I found some rust texture and added it on top as I also wanted to give the impression that The Infinity Gauntlet had been used a fair amount, this doesn't really make the The Infinity Gauntlet look old but I think it does give it a bit more character and texture.

You can't have The Infinity Gauntlet without Infinity Stones. My main issue with this was the comics and marvel screen shots seem to always mix and match where the stones are placed, so I found a random image of Thanos on google and went with that colour matching.

Didn't think The Infinity Gauntlet gave that much impression that it was made out of metal so added a couple of metal textures from the net to give it a more overall shine.

Added back the flames but didn't think The Infinity Gauntlet was epic enough.

Still not epic enough.

I think I got the amount of epic level power super....stone...thing that I wanted :D I made the overall image darker apart from The Infinity Gauntlet.

Overall really happy how it came out, and now as a bonus treat why not have a look at the Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War Official Trailer to get you in the mood for the movie.
