UK Netflix Anime

I normally get asked by my friends whats a good anime they should see next. The thing with anime is that there is such a wide range of cool, weird, and wacky series or movies its always hard to recommend something, so what I normally end up doing is just listing what I have seen already.

So here is that list, keep in mind I have seen much more weird and wonderfull anime in my life but for this list I'm just putting down the ones I have seen on Netflix. There are some like Cowboy bebop and Steamboy which is not on this list (which are amazing by the way), but sadly do not make the list as I haven't seen them again on Netflix.

And with that out the way lets start off our list.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Note: Nope nothing, just a really good series and closely matches the manga.

Sword art online

Note: Maybe just focus on the 1st series...does tend to get a bit..weird beyond that.

Attack on Titan

Note: Been reading the manga as well as the series, pretty weird how some the Titans look messed up but enjoyed the series on Netflix.

Devilman Crybaby

Note: First on my list that I would just say go in with an open mind, and if you don't mind the odd boob turning into a demon then this is the anime for you!.

Death Note

Note: I can't recommend this series enough, a bit different from your action or magic type anime and focuses more on twists and turns during its story arch.

Ghost in the Shell (1995)

Note: One of the first anime movies I ever seen and also the first Matrix took a lot of aspects from this movie. Try to ignore the live action version of this masterpiece.

SpaceDandy

Note: An amazing series that has so many Laugh out loud moments because of how stupid some of the characters are.

Trigun

Note: Again one of my first anime series I seen. The story isn't that amazing but I got to enjoy the main character and the intro music I think is amazing!

Samurai Champloo

Note: Loved this series from start to finish, the style and animation I think are amazing.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Note: I be honest I think they took this off Netflix now, and also its a little different from traditional anime but I don't care I loved this series and you should too.

Castlevania

Note: This series is sadly only like 4 episodes long, which is a real shame as I was getting into the story. A great intro to anime if you can't be bothered to watch 10 episodes or a 2 hour long movie.

Gantz: O

Note: If you never read the manga Gantz before then just make sure you go into this movie saying wtf a lot. With that said the CGI in this movie I think is great and the small section they picked from the manga fits in pretty closely with the movie (which sometimes studios tend to mess up)

Elfen Lied

Note: Another weird anime, so just make sure you are ready but loved the progression of the main character in this. Not many episodes if I remember so another good series to start on with.

Magi: Sinbad

Note: Its the traditional story of Sinbad the sailor but pumped with loads of anime drugs, if you think that might be up your street then I think you might like this series on Netflix.

Black Butler

Note: I really enjoyed this story but always thought the premise was a bit stupid. I will say this though he is "one hell of a butler"

One Punch Man

Note: Loved this series as it kind of takes the piss out of anime and how stupid it can get, so they made a character that is just stupid strong. A pretty famous anime, so if you haven't had the chance to watch this then go for it.

ERASED

Note: Meh if you gotten to this point of the list its just something to watch, its kind of sweet and I like that however I know there is a movie and also a live action series of the anime (no idea why they did that) I can't comment on those but I would imagine they miss out a fair amount or try to skip sections.

Let me know what you think of my list and if you have a list of your own why not put it down in the comments for others to read?
