Windward...Yarrrr

Are you looking for a simple game to dip your toes into? Wanting to kill an hour or two and sail the seven seas? Well, me hearties, I have just the thing for you! It's a sandbox action sailing game!

'Windward' ahoy! 

Take your ship out, fight pirates, build defensive towers on the coastline, trade goods across various ports, upgrade your ship, get new ships, acquire followers and run missions. 

The soundtrack is nice and fitting, the graphics are lush and bright and the controls are pretty intuitive and work well.

For me, at least, it's easy to get into the 'just one more mission' loop, and before I know it I've put far more hours into a game of such simplicity outwardly appears to deserve. But it's that very same simplicity combined with the warm look and feel of the game that keeps me playing, often for longer than some big budget triple-A games that have come out of late.
